Sea Your Future brings together students and offshore energy actors

On Friday 10 September, Ghent University, Marine@UGent and Bluebridge Innovation Incubator organise the first edition of Sea Your Future - Blue Science & Technology networking day at Ostend Science Park. Sea Your Future is the closing event of the Blue Science & Technology Summer Training (a two weeks summer course organised by Marine@UGent) and supports the Regional Impact Campaigns organised in ENCORE.

This event will bring together students and young professionals with the offshore energy sector in different sessions. During a panel debate in the morning, moderated by lead partner Peter Scheijgrond from Bluespring, industry actors, academics and policy makers (eg. Teamwork Technology, Jan De Nul, Deme, DG Mare) will discuss the opportunities and challenges for offshore renewable energy and answer questions prepared by the students. Through a matchmaking lunch and networking village participants will get the opportunity to meet supply chain actors in the blue sector and broaden their network.

The detailed program and registration link for Sea Your Future 2021 can be found on the Marine@UGent website. Due to the Covid measures that still apply, the number of participants is limited.
